Teacher’s Day – 2019
Sant Nirankari Public School, Malviya Nagar celebrated Teacher’s Day with zeal and zest on September 5, 2019. Students presented colourful and fun filled programme comprising of fusion dance, street play, speech and song. To celebrate the occasion all the teachers and students gathered at the school auditorium.
Head Mistress Mrs. Sushma Manchanda paid floral tribute to the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. This was followed by a speech by the Head Mistress who spoke about the significance of the Teachers’ Day and appreciated the sincerest efforts of the teachers in playing a catalytic role in the holistic development of every student.
As the speech concluded the cultural programme began with a fusion dance by student of class VIII B. A student gave a speech on the importance of teachers in the life of students. It was followed by an expressive dance performance by students of classes III and IV. Street play was enacted by students of classes VII and VIII in which they inspired fellow students to imbibe the values that are taught by teachers. The students reciprocated their love and respect for the Head Mistress and teachers by presenting them flowers, bookmarks, badges and small gifts.
Lastly a song thanking the teachers was sung by student of class VIII-B. After the celebration, the students and teachers left for their respective classes. Everyone felt glad and excited. It was a celebration worth remembering.
Teachers of the Prerna House organised a spectacular get together for the staff. The auditorium was beautifully decorated. Special attraction was the selfie station and props. Cake cutting ceremony was performed in the presence of the chairperson of the school Mrs. Kanchan Kumar. Light music and games were arranged for the teachers. The day ended with the delicious and sumptuous lunch followed by a sweet dish.
Chairperson Mrs. Kanchan Kumar wished the teachers and lauded the staff for their contribution.
Efforts of the Prerna House teachers were appreciated by all.
